Group Therapy – Overcoming Anxiety

Are you missing out on fun or opportunities because of worries?

Together with my colleague, Jennifer Baumeister, I am offering an English language group for adults suffering from anxiety.

Benefits of group therapy:

– You will meet others with similar experiences.
– Through group dynamics, gain better understanding of your anxiety.
– There is a clear structure, including an end – within the ten-week programme you will be motivated to maximise your use of the group.
– In the long run it will be less expensive than regular, individual therapy.

We introduce core components of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (or CBT, for short) for anxiety:

– How do your thoughts and feelings influence your experiences? How can you interfere with this process?
– Learn about what makes you anxious.
– Learn to challenge thoughts, push yourself out of your comfort zone and experience anxiety with a little more distance and control in a judgement-free environment.
– Learn some basic strategies in overcoming anxiety.

When and where:

Start date: September 12th 2017

Every Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm for 8 weeks

Location: Laudongasse 50, 1080 Vienna.


Free initial individual consultation
€45 per evening

The group includes 6-8 participants and two therapists.
