LISA WOLLMANN . MSc . THERAPY

it's ALWAYS a good time to talk about it

I know that coming in for therapy isn’t always easy. I try to make the process as stress-free as possible. Creating a judgment-free atmosphere of trust and comfort, where you can feel truly heard, is my first priority. I believe the relationship between therapist and client is paramount.

Depending on the issues presented, I combine short-term techniques with an analysis of how difficulties have developed. My approach to therapy is warm and open while also being direct and honest. I help you develop self-awareness and a sense of personal strength.

About Lisa Wollmann

I was raised in a bilingual family: with an American mom and an Austrian father. I received my BSc in Applied Psychology and Sociology from the University of Surrey in 2005, and my master’s degree in psychology (clinical psychology) at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands in 2007.  As of 2015 I am a ‘psychotherapist in training’, here in Vienna.

I have interned at the children and adolescent’s psychiatric department of Vienna’s general hospital, the AKH,  where I provided therapy to minors and young adults.  After that I worked in the cognitive behavioral ward of the AKH, working with people suffering from OCD and anxiety.

Prior to working in the AKH I was a counselor for the eating disorders hotline in Vienna and interned at the Institut So What (helping individuals with eating disorders).

The types of mental health concerns that I treat include: eating disorders, depression, anxiety, OCD, and personality disorders.  I have provided therapy in both individual and group settings.

I now bring these skills and experiences to my private practice, where I strive to create an environment of trust and comfort for all my clients.
